Our environment is our life and the future of our children and grandchildren; we have only been lent the land for a short time it is not ours to keep but to preserve for those who follow.


As Keepers of the Earth we:

• Use manure as organic fertilizer to grow grain corn, winter wheat, and Soya Beans which allows us the ability to limit commercial fertilizers based on our Nutrient Management Plan requirements for crops.
• Use injectors to place manure under the soil on planted corn fields to prevent run-off and odors.
• Use our own grain as feed to lessen our carbon foot print, as we don't need to use imported grain.
• Compost our organic waste from the market using shredded cardboard as one of our carbon sources.
• Have all animals slaughtered within 20 km. of our farm.
• Sell local products 95% of which come from within a 40 km. radius.
• Are working with Ducks Unlimited and Dept. of the Agriculture to create a bird habitat on our farm. We started this initiative in the Fall of 2008.
